²⁶ The king ordered his^[a] son Jerahmeel, Azriel’s son Seraiah, and Abdeel’s son Shelemiah to get Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet, but the Lord had hidden them.

Jeremiah Rewrites the Scroll

²⁷ This message from the Lord came to Jeremiah after the king burned the scroll containing the words that Baruch had written at Jeremiah’s dictation: ²⁸ “Go back, take another scroll and write on it all the original^[b] words which were on the scroll that Jehoiakim, king of Judah, burned.
